Isometric shoulder abduction

A static shoulder exercise in which the elbow presses outward against a wall without the arm or body moving.

  1. Stand upright side-on next to a wall with the arm you are training nearest the wall. Bend your elbow and place the outside of the elbow against the wall. Press the elbow outward without moving your arm or body, then release the pressure.
