Start on a signed-in device
Where you are: The Signed-in devices page is open on a device where you are already signed in.
What to do: Select Add device.
Complete when: A QR code and the Copy link button appear for the hand-off to the new device.

Add a new device
Use a device where you are already signed in to connect a new device. Create a passkey on the new device and approve it from the signed-in device.
Create a passkey on the new device
Where you are: The hand-off is open on the new device. A passkey is your sign-in and is saved on the device or in your password manager.
What to do: Select Create passkey.
Complete when: The heading Waiting for approval appears.
Approve from the signed-in device
Where you are: The signed-in device shows New device waiting when the new device is ready.
What to do: Check that you started the request, then select Approve with passkey.
Complete when: The New device waiting request disappears after approval.
Continue on the new device
Where you are: The new device has received the approval and shows the Continue button.
What to do: Select Continue.
Complete when: The patient portal opens with the heading My programmes.
